A proper offshore passage between two of the prettiest areas in the world! You will be crossing the North Sea and the Arctic Circle en route to Tromsø, with the option of making landfall in the Lofoten Archipelago and go inshore for the last 150 nm, or continue further north before ducking into the fjords. There will be plenty of opportunities to learn about weather routing and passage strategy, as finding the perfect window for the crossing will require some skill. For this reason, the trip is set for 14 days, giving us some weather flexibility. The crossing itself will most likely take around a week, with the additional days being used for cruising, on one side of the ocean or the other! It would be difficult to choose, and luckily, you won't have to - the weather will do it for you.

Rough itinerary
All 59º North passages are very much subject to weather. We pick our routes based on the "correct" time of year to be sailing in the different regions we visit, and we always build-in enough time to give us some margin for weather windows. The skipper has final say on departure dates and weather windows, but generally speaking, the intinerary for this passage will look like this:

Crew arrive to ISBJØRN at 1300 in Torshavn, Faroe Islands. ISBJØRN orientation followed by crew dinner. All crew stay onboard ISBJØRN.
Prep Days
Between the joining and departure dates, all pre-passage preparation, provisioning, and safety briefings will be completed. The specific pre-departure schedule will be outlined and posted onboard ISBJØRN by the skipper.
